Battle of the Bands

Well done to our Intermediate Band who were recently awarded the ‘John Speight Encouragement Award’.

They competed against five other bands and performed four songs which showed their range of expertise beautifully. One of the judges said that they were the best intermediate band that she had come across!

In the flute section Olivia, Clara and Aria got a special mention for their fantastic performance of Lullaby. The panel of three judges also made comment that they were amazed that a band so young could pull off the complexities of the piece The Avengers which is the band’s favourite to perform.
