Dance groups are held during semester one, an hour before school on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings (one group per day) in the school hall. Each week, students learn new skills, practise their dance routine and build on it in preparation for the North Sydney Dance Festival that takes place at the end of the term 2.
There are two dance groups -
* junior dance group (for years 3 & 4)
* senior dance group (for years 5 & 6)
Students from years 3 to 6 are invited to audition for the dance groups at the beginning of term 1.
Approximately 30 students are selected for each group based on their performance, involvement and enthusiasm on the day of the audition.
Students perform at the Sydney North Dance Festival at the end of term 2 at the Glen St Theatre in Belrose.
Whole school dance commences in Semester 2 and culminates in a fdabulous whole school dance performance at the end of the year.
