Communicating with parents

The school has a number of ways to communicate with parents.

The school newsletter called the 'Sea Sider' is published online each week. This is the primary source of information for parents about upcoming events and also provides reports on school life over the previous week. Parents should try to get in the habit of reading the newsletter each week tyo stay abrest of the goings on at a very busy school.

The school calendar is updated regularly and is available on the school website and also through the Skoolbag app.

Permission notes are online and are emailed to parents.

If students are absent or late, parents and carers will be sent an sms to their mobile phone.  Parents and carers can respond to the sms directly and this will be recorded on their child's attendance record. For absences of 1-9 days, an email should be sent to the school advising the reason for the student's absence or a note can be provided to the teacher upon the student's return.

For absences of 10 or more school days, the Application for extended leave – travel should be completed and submitted to the Principal with a copy of your travel documents and/or itinerary prior to the absence. Please remember to inform your child’s class teacher of your travel arrangements.

If you are a parent and you wish to volunteer at the school, you will need to complete this Parent Volunteer Form and return it to the office with government photo ID.
