At our school each year, year 6 students have an opportunity to participate in the Premier's Debating Challenge, an interschool debating competition.
In term 1, all Year 6 students are introduced to the art of debating before having the opportunity to try out for one of two teams that go on to compete in the interschool competition.
During terms 2 and 3, the Premier's Debating Challenge teams practise after school once a week. They participate in four to five debates which are adjudicated by an experienced external debating coach.
