Stories and highlights
There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.
A year at our school
Principal for the Day - 22 September 2025
Luka in Kindergarten had a fantastic experience as Principal for the Day! Luka earned this special opportunity after his parents won the bid for him during the recent P & C Trivia Night Fundraiser.
Luka enjoyed giving out award stickers to students, visiting different classrooms and assisting during the school assembly. It was wonderful to see Luka take on these responsibilities and engage with our students and staff in such a positive way.
Bear Pit Public Speaking Competition Finals - 22 September 2025
Sydney and Camden attended State Parliament House to represent Manly Village at the Bear Pit Public Speaking Competition Finals.
Superhero day - 18 September 2025
Many thanks to all the families who have so generously donated to Bear Cottage. Thank you to all the students who have raised money through bake sales, lemonade stands or ‘helping out at home’
So far, we have raised $3 080.00.
Book Parade - 28 August 2025
Our students and staff had an amazing time at our annual book week parade. The students and teachers enjoyed dressing up as their favorite book character and parading around the terracotta court. Thank you to all the parents who attended. The event had a wonderful atmosphere and was one of the highlights of the term so far!
100 days of Kindergarten - 23 July 2025
Early Stage 1 celebrated 100 Days of Kindergarten. This is a celebration marking the 100th day of the school year. It's a milestone where students and teachers reflect on the learning and growth achieved in the first half of the school year and engage in themed activities, often involving dressing up as 100-year-olds. They had a lot of fun seeing each other looking older than their years!
The Reconciliation Week Assembly celebrated the rich First Nations heritage of Manly, reflected in our beautiful new mural. Thank you to the elders, parents and special guests who attended. The morning was a beautiful celebration of Aboriginal culture.
Harmony Day - 10 April 2025
Harmony Week is the celebration that recognises our diversity and brings together Australians from all different backgrounds.
It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone.
We celebrate our school's rich diversity with a whole school assembly, a parade of students in their traditional cultural attire and an international food festival.
Swimming Carnival - 2025
Our annual swimming carnival at the Manly Andrew 'Boy' Charlton Aquatic Centre was open to all students in Years 3 to Year 6, as well as Year 2 students who turn 8 in 2025. It was a wonderful day filled with excitement. Many students participate in races, striving to achieve their personal best.
“We have been extremely impressed with Manly Village. The support for both of our children has been outstanding, and any concerns have always been addressed quickly and thoughtfully. The school provides a warm, nurturing environment where our children feel valued and encouraged to thrive." — Celene, a parent at Manly Village Public School
