There's always something to celebrate at our school! From exciting events to proud moments and everyday wins, here are some of our highlights.
A year at our school
Zone Cross Country Carnival 2026
Fifty of our students went to the Zone Cross Country Carnival at Curl Curl. Our students demonstrated excellent sportsmanship and gave outstanding efforts in their events. We commend all our students on their efforts and achievement.
Four of our students have qualified to compete at the Sydney North Regional Cross Country Carnival.
Band camp 2026
Our band students participated in an exciting camp at Camp Kedron. This event was a wonderful opportunity for students to engage in lots of fun, adventure-type activities while also taking part in intensive training to refine their musical skills.
The highlight of the camp was the final night performance. It showcased all the hard work and dedication the students have put in during the camp.
Cross country carnival 2026
We held our annual School Cross Country Carnival at Keirle Park, involving students from Years 2 to 6. It was a wonderful day, with clear sunny skies - perfect for long distance running. It was wonderful to see high levels of participation and to witness so many of our students giving their best effort in the races.
State swimming carnival 2026
On behalf of our community, we would like to congratulate our Senior Boys' 4x50m relay team, of Solomon, Tommaso, Saxon and Adiraj.
After progressing through the Manly Zone and Sydney North Levels, the boys competed at the State Swimming Carnival yesterday. I am pleased to report that they finished in 8th place overall! This is a remarkable achievement, of which we should all be proud.
Anzac day assembly 2026
Our school community gathered for a moving ANZAC Day assembly to honour the courage and sacrifice of Australian and New Zealand servicemen and women. Students and staff participated in a ceremony that included reflective speeches, the laying of wreaths, and a minute’s silence.
Harmony Day - 31 March 2026
A beautiful celebration of the diversity of our community. Harmony Day is a much-loved celebration at Manly Village that our community eagerly looks forward to.
We had a very moving assembly in the morning, including performances from our choirs, senior band and speeches from some of our students who have recently migrated to Australia and joined our Manly Village community. This was followed by the tradition of our International Food Fair.

Easter Hat Parade - 30 March 2026
Students showcased their creativity by wearing Easter hats they made at home. Each stage took art in a fun parade around the green court to show off their fabulous Easter hats.
Swimming Carnival - 2026
Our annual swimming carnival was held at the Manly Andrew ‘Boy’ Charlton Aquatic Centre. The carnival was open to all students from Years 3 to 6, as well as Year 2 students who will turn 8 in 2026. It was a fantastic day full of energy and enthusiasm, and it was wonderful to see so many students participating in events and challenging themselves to achieve their personal bests.
Principal for the Day - 22 September 2025
Luka in Kindergarten had a fantastic experience as Principal for the Day! Luka earned this special opportunity after his parents won the bid for him during the recent P & C Trivia Night Fundraiser.
Luka enjoyed giving out award stickers to students, visiting different classrooms and assisting during the school assembly. It was wonderful to see Luka take on these responsibilities and engage with our students and staff in such a positive way.
Bear Pit Public Speaking Competition Finals - 22 September 2025
Sydney and Camden attended State Parliament House to represent Manly Village at the Bear Pit Public Speaking Competition Finals.
Superhero day - 18 September 2025
Many thanks to all the families who have so generously donated to Bear Cottage. Thank you to all the students who have raised money through bake sales, lemonade stands or ‘helping out at home’
So far, we have raised $3 080.00.
Book Parade - 28 August 2025
Our students and staff had an amazing time at our annual book week parade. The students and teachers enjoyed dressing up as their favorite book character and parading around the terracotta court. Thank you to all the parents who attended. The event had a wonderful atmosphere and was one of the highlights of the term so far!
100 days of Kindergarten - 23 July 2025
Early Stage 1 celebrated 100 Days of Kindergarten. This is a celebration marking the 100th day of the school year. It's a milestone where students and teachers reflect on the learning and growth achieved in the first half of the school year and engage in themed activities, often involving dressing up as 100-year-olds. They had a lot of fun seeing each other looking older than their years!
The Reconciliation Week Assembly celebrated the rich First Nations heritage of Manly, reflected in our beautiful new mural. Thank you to the elders, parents and special guests who attended. The morning was a beautiful celebration of Aboriginal culture.
